Bina Nusantara English Club (BNEC) as one of English club in Indonesia, concerns about the socialization of English among high school and undergraduate students in Indonesia. To contribute and involve in this mission, starting 2004 BNEC decided to organize an annual English national level competition called Nationwide English Olympics (NEO).
2nd Nationwide English Olympics ( NEO ) invites all High School and university students that is between 16 – 24 years old on January 2006 to take part in the biggest English competition. 2nd NEO consists of 4 competitions :
- Online Competition ( November 27th – January 14th)
A competition that will test the English capability of the participants from all over Indonesia through online tests that will be divided into several rounds. The preliminary round will be opened for free and top 300 participants will advance to the SemiFinal Round and top 20 participants in the SemiFinal Round will advance to the Final Round in Jakarta. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rp 2.000.000 and souvenirs from sponsors. - Scrabble (January 11th – 14th)
A competition that test the vocabulary and strategy. One of the most famous board game that have been played all over the world is presented in this competition. The competition will be held in Bina Nusantara University and will introduce a different style of Scrabble. Register yourself to proof that you are the best Scrabble player in this country. The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rp 2.000.000 and souvenirs from sponsors. - News Casting (January 11th – 14th)
A competition to find the talents of English newscasters. The needs of an English newscaster in television channel and radio stations is increasing day by day. Proof that you are the best English newscaster in Indonesia by registering yourself to this competition. This competition will be held in Bina Nusantara University. The participants in this competition will not only compete but also enjoy a coaching clinique session. Winner will win a cash prize of Rp. 1.500.000 and souvenirs from our sponsors. - Presenting Idea (January 11th – 14th)
A competition to test the capability of participants to explain his/her idea with their own method to make people interested and convinced with the idea. It is more than only a Speech competition.
